Each step left a neat trail of pawprints firmly imprinted in the snow. Each light breath mingled with the whispering of frozen leaves. And each minute brought the Baeo alpha closer to the heart of his territory.
Kestrel's brilliant amethyst eyes flickered surreptitiously around the snowy surroundings of the terra, muscles rippling underneath his silver pelt. He had recovered completely from the wounds that Eclipse had inflicted on his person. The spar had left him with two rather dashing scars under his left eye, a deep V-split in one of his big ears and other assorted small things. With the small smirk of contentedness etched on his maw, Kess strolled nonchalantly to the rocky precipice that was the cave's wall and began to scale up a marked path. His grey talons
clacked against the hard surface, pads of his paws serving as mild gripping devices as he trotted carefully on the roof of the cave so as not to fall through the roof on a weak spot. Kestrel had always preferred this, rather then resting inside the cave. The panoramic view of his territory was feasted 'pon by his violet eyes, and this was how he would remain for an hour or so, watching the day go by in his barren land. It needed pack Members, and this was what he watched for everyday.
Ooc: Erf, I wrote this before I realised that it was winter, so don't ask me why he's sitting down on a cold surface letting snow pile on top of him XD
